DJ Abrahamson
DJ Abrahamson and his wife, Kate, have four children. They have been living in Korea for a total of 8 years; DJ is a Lt Col in the US Air Force. They are members of Songtan Central Baptist Church; and have actively supported the Church’s volunteer programs for orphanages and women’s shelters. DJ is a founding member and currently president of the Family Advocacy Network - he feels strongly called to help convey resources to vulnerable women and children.
Richard Biggs
Richard Biggs is Treasurer of the Family Advocacy Network. He is also the CEO of Cube Intelligence Ltd., a tech company in the mobility sector. Richard has deep experience in finance and management and is the Auditor for D3Jubilee, a venture capital firm focused on social impact. He was a founding member of Hope Be Restored, a faith-based organization devoted to the welfare of the widow and the orphan. Born of Korean and English parents, Richard lives in Seoul and is married to Hannah with two young children.
Steve Houser
Steve Houser is the English Pastor at Songtan Central Baptist Church in Songtan South Korea. He and his wife, Sarah, have lived in Korea for 9 years, and have four exciting children. As a Pastor, Steve has served, volunteered and led ministries related to social justice. His passion to see families flourish led to the creation of a family discipleship ministry called Bring it Home; becoming the founder and content creator for www.justbringithome.com. He is a founding member and on the executive board for the Family Advocacy Network.
Sarah Houser
Sarah and her husband Steve have been married 11 years and have 4 children. Sarah has been a champion of family, women and children in Korea since 2010. Certified through Childbirth International as well as MediFlower Natural Birth Center in Seoul, she loves working as a Childbirth Educator and Birth Doula, as well as New Parent Support around the Peninsula. In 2013 she began volunteering monthly working directly with vulnerable women and children, as well as at several orphanages around Korea. She has a strong desire to help families stay together and receive the love, care and support they need for whatever unique situations they might be facing. Sarah has also been heavily involved in adoption & adoptive family support; helping to start and run an adoption support group in Songtan, as well as meeting with and counseling families together with her husband. Sarah attends Songtan Central Baptist Church where her husband Pastors and together they serve the military, expat and local communities in Pyeongtaek & Seoul. Sarah loves Korea and raising her family in this beautiful country and culture.
Peter Teachout
Peter Teachout and his wife Joyanne have five children. They have been living in Korea for the last three years. Peter is an Army Captain in the US Army. They are members of Songtan Central Baptist Church. They actively support orphans and single mothers through conferences, volunteering, and donations. Peter and Joyanne are founding members of FAN and Peter is on the executive board. Both Peter and Joyanne work to raise awareness in their military community in order to see more people develop a heart for orphans and single mothers.
Laura Edwards
Laura Edwards and her husband Jonathan came to Korea in 2012 to work at International Christian School- Pyeongtaek. Since that time, in addition to serving the Lord through Christian education, Jonathan and Laura have also sought to meet the needs of the vulnerable and the needy by serving in various capacities at their church, Songtan Central Baptist Church, and by volunteering at local ministries and abroad. Jonathan and Laura are humbled and grateful for the ways that God has allowed them to join in His work here in Korea, and they look forward to many more years of service for His kingdom, both as a couple and with their two young children as well.
Jacqueline Sadohara
Jacqueline Sadohara, her husband Shogo and their two kids have resided in Seoul for 14 years. They work within the Multi-Ethnic Missions Department of the Immanuel Seoul Church. Jacqueline passionately believes that every life is a gift from God and therefore deserves to be nurtured in a safe and loving environment. As well as volunteering as secretary and providing practical help, Jacqueline desires to be a background of prayer for all the families connected to FAN.
